BLITZ! is an exciting tile-laying game that combines tactics, strategy, and a pinch of luck. This fast-paced board game is a game of lightning: One player assumes the role of the lightning tile layer, while one or two opponents attempt to capture it—that is, to completely enclose the lightning with their own tiles. What's special about BLITZ!: There are three different pieces, allowing for different placements and creating a dynamic playing field. While the catchers have twice the number of pieces at their disposal—a perceived advantage—this is offset by the clever game mechanism: Before each of their turns, they must roll the dice, which severely limits their choices. The number rolled determines which of the three pieces can be used. This luck-based aspect also makes BLITZ! a sophisticated dice game that constantly offers new twists and turns.
