Beschreibung

Bernhard Schweitzer's children's tangram consists of seven wooden pieces. The thickness and size of the pieces are designed for children's hands. Milled edges reduce the risk of injury. After fine sanding, the wooden pieces were rubbed with a natural wax and polished with a woolen cloth. The game pieces are stored in a wooden box with a slip lid. The included rubber band secures the lid between play sessions.

The game allows for two levels of difficulty, depending on the child's ability and progress.

Phase I: The simple figures drawn in the game instructions are copied to A4 size. The child now uses the seven wooden pieces to create the two-dimensional figures. The game pieces must not be placed upright or overlap completely or partially.

Phase II: The templates are shown to the child in a reduced version. They must now create the figure (twice the size) from the seven pieces. This also develops their ability to think abstractly.

This game has also been enjoyed by older people. Easy to grasp and not too difficult, it allows older people in particular to playfully engage their brainpower.
