Senet is a fascinating, historical board game that originated in ancient Egypt. Four original game boards were found in the tomb of Pharaoh Tutankhamun – an indication of the game's high status in Egyptian culture. It is considered a precursor to backgammon and combines strategic thinking with a touch of mysticism and history.

The high-quality Senet game from ROMBOL Denkspiele is an Egyptian wooden game with lovingly crafted details. It consists of a playing board with 30 squares arranged in three rows of ten squares each. Five of these squares are marked with ancient Egyptian symbols that significantly influence the course of the game and require tactical skill. The goal is to move all of your pieces across the board and be the first to reach the finish line – a task made more difficult by capturing opposing pieces or moving backwards.

Instead of dice, Senet uses four semicircular wooden sticks, which can be neatly stored in the included drawer along with the ten game pieces (five green, five natural). The rules of the game were reconstructed based on historical records and today allow for an exciting, approximately 15-minute duel for two players.

Senet is not only a tactical dice game, but also a stylish decorative piece with cultural depth—ideal for lovers of classic games and history. Discover the fascination of a game that once entertained kings with ROMBOL's Senet.
