Ultimus (Niek NFFX Neuwahl, Italy, 2008), family game, board game, wooden parlor game

24 triangular squares are milled into a hexagonal base plate. Each player receives 12 triangular game pieces in four different heights (45, 65, 85, and 105 mm) and in one color. The player who starts the game is drawn to lot. The first player chooses a game piece and places it on any square on the board. Then, the other player (always alternating) places one of their game pieces on the board. The following rules apply:

- the new stone must not have the same height as the last stone placed;

- it must touch a flank of the last placed stone and one of the two ribs of the

Contact surface must be the same height.

This game also includes an expansion board in the form of three equally sized rhombuses. This allows the playing field to be varied as desired, creating countless new starting situations.

The game comes with bilingual (D, GB), illustrated instructions.
